MISTA provides comprehensive modernization and overhaul of wheeled armoured vehicles, including BTR and BRDM platforms. Each project is developed around the technical condition of the vehicle, its mission profile and the operator’s requirements.
Our engineering approach combines component replacement, system integration, hull restoration and field testing to deliver a more reliable, functional and operator-focused platform.

Each modernization project is tailored to the vehicle platform, technical condition, mission profile and customer requirements. The final upgrade package may combine powertrain replacement, observation and communication systems, protection upgrades, crew-workspace improvements and mission-equipment integration.

BTR-70DIP / BTR-70DIPT
MODERNIZATION
The BTR-70 modernization programme was developed to extend the operational life of the proven 8×8 platform and adapt it to contemporary battlefield and operator requirements.
The upgraded vehicle retains its amphibious capability and cross-country mobility while receiving modernized powertrain, observation, communication, protection and crew-support systems.
The original petrol power units were replaced with two high-torque IVECO Tector diesel engines delivering approximately 300 hp in total. The conversion improves reliability, operational range and fuel efficiency.

A SYSTEM-LEVEL
MODERNIZATION PACKAGE
The BTR-70 modernization programme combines mechanical, electrical, observation, communication, protection and crew-support upgrades within one integrated vehicle package.
POWERTRAIN & MOBILITY
The original petrol engines were replaced with two high-torque IVECO Tector diesel units delivering approximately 300 hp in total. Supporting drivetrain and vehicle systems were adapted to improve reliability, range and fuel efficiency.
OBSERVATION & OPTOELECTRONICS
Daylight and thermal-imaging observation equipment improves visibility, target detection and vehicle operation at night and in limited-visibility conditions.
COMMUNICATION & ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
Communication equipment can be replaced with modern radio systems selected according to operator requirements, while the electrical installation is renewed and adapted to the upgraded equipment.
ACCESS & CREW ERGONOMICS
Improved side access, lighting, mirrors, seals, seating and interior equipment enhance crew safety, working conditions and everyday vehicle operation.
PROTECTION & ARMAMENT
The vehicle can receive reinforced armour in selected areas, electronic protection against UAV and FPV threats, and an upgraded BPU-1 turret with 14.5 mm KPVT and 7.62 mm PKT machine guns.

RESTORING RELIABILITY
ACROSS THE VEHICLE
In addition to modernization, MISTA performs comprehensive overhaul and restoration of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural and interior vehicle systems.
MECHANICAL ASSEMBLIES
Regeneration or replacement of suspension, shock absorbers, drivetrain components, braking systems and other mechanical assemblies.
HULL & CORROSION PROTECTION
Repair of damaged hull elements, restoration of protective coatings and renewed corrosion protection.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Complete replacement or modernization of the vehicle electrical installation and adaptation to newly integrated equipment.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
Inspection, repair and restoration of hydraulic systems, including steering and hatch-opening mechanisms.
INTERIOR RESTORATION
Interior repainting, replacement of seals, installation of new seating and restoration of damaged equipment.
SYSTEM VERIFICATION
Functional verification of steering, braking, hydraulic, electrical and other vehicle systems before final field testing.
VALIDATED UNDER
FIELD CONDITIONS
Following modernization and overhaul, the vehicle undergoes field testing to verify mobility, steering, braking and the operation of hydraulic, electrical and other vehicle systems under demanding conditions.
